The University of Edinburgh and the University of St Andrews look forward to welcoming you to the 2026 Scottish Varsity Rugby Match on Friday 18 September at the HIVE Stadium (home to Edinburgh Rugby) for the continuation of this ancient rivalry between Scotland’s two oldest university rugby clubs.

- 18:00 gates and fan zone open to spectators
- 19:30 Scottish Varsity Match: Edinburgh Men’s 1st XV v St Andrews Men’s 1st XV
- 20:10 half-time
- 21:10 full time
- 21:15 presentations
- 22:30 close
2026 MATCH TICKETS
Tickets for the 2026 Scottish Varsity Match are on sale now. There are a limited number of tickets so purchase early to avoid disappointment.

Please note that ticket prices will go up by £5 on the day of the match.

- No limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased.
- Spectators will need to show a valid Scottish Varsity Match ticket on the Scottish Rugby Ticket App to gain entry to the event
