2026 MEN’S SCOTTISH VARSITY MATCH

The University of Edinburgh and the University of St Andrews look forward to welcoming you to the 2026 Scottish Varsity Rugby Match on Friday 18 September at the HIVE Stadium (home to Edinburgh Rugby) for the continuation of this ancient rivalry between Scotland’s two oldest university rugby clubs.

- 18:00 gates and fan zone open to spectators
- 19:30 Scottish Varsity Match: Edinburgh Men’s 1st XV v St Andrews Men’s 1st XV
- 20:10 half-time
- 21:10 full time
- 21:15 presentations
- 22:30 close
2026 MATCH TICKETS
Tickets for the 2026 Scottish Varsity Match are on sale now. There are a limited number of tickets so purchase early to avoid disappointment.

*includes transaction fee
Please note that ticket prices will go up by £5 on the day of the match.
- Choice of standing or seated ticket
- No limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased.
- Spectators will need to show a valid Scottish Varsity Match ticket on the Scottish Rugby Ticket App to gain entry to the event
TRAVEL FROM ST ANDREWS
ST ANDREWS SPECTATOR BUS tickets
£12.00 – LIMITED TICKETS AVAILABLE, BUY EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.
- To make travel to the Hive Stadium easier for St Andrews supporters, a limited number of subsidised bus tickets are available from St Andrews to and back from the match.
- Buses will leave Madras College, Bell Brae, St Andrews at 4pm and depart Edinburgh at approximately 9.30pm
- Students must be available to collect their bus wristbands in the week running up to the event, and must bring along a matriculation card or other valid ID.
- If you are not available to pick up your wristband in person, you should nominate someone to collect this on your behalf, but they will also need to bring your matriculation card with them.
- All details of bus times and locations, along with wristband collection will be confirmed via email in the week leading up to the event.
